Sustainable Business Development
In order to achieve certain of its Social responsibility Programs Sindawonye has created the only processing operation of its kind, in a rural area in the Eastern Cape via Thembani Eagle Hout Integrated Projects. The highly sensitive recycling of Fibre Optic Cables is achieved in the most environmentally friendly manner possible at this facility. This facility has created employment for physically and mentally challenged individuals from previously disadvantaged communities.
A further contribution has been the funding of a day care centre for the children of this rural community. Another of the projects being invested in is a self sustainability project growing fruit and Vegetable gardens for the benefit of the community.
Sindawonye has over the years focused on improving the educational facilities of previously disadvantaged communities in rural areas by building classrooms and refurbishing schools. Since the inception of these projects in 2000 Sindawonye has invested in future generations by affording them the opportunity to receive an education.
Ongoing support is afforded to certain schools were as well as supplying educational aids, transport to and from school and daily meals are provided for the children. These programs have resulted in various provincial awards being bestowed to the Company and the Schools.
